This position is an initial 12 month FTC

Role Overview:

We are seeking a CIMA/ACCA part-qualified accountant with strong practical experience in UK (FRS Framework) to join our team on an initial 12 month FTC to cover maternity. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for the day to day accounting for the UK & Ireland.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in all areas of Accounting including UK GAPP reporting and experience of:

• Processing supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations for Ireland & UK. 
• Expense management and budget control for Ireland & UK.
• Managing customer invoicing and aged debts and working closely with Client Fund Accounts Receivable 
• Posting journal entries and maintaining accurate GL records. 
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. 
• General Ledger
• Managing multiple Bank Reconciliations
• Preparing management reports, cost analysis, variance analysis, and reconciliations. 
• Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts in line with FRS framework. 
• Maintaining adherence to internal controls and company policies. 
• Supporting the audit processes and providing required documentation. 
• Payroll Support
• Ad hoc accounting duties 

Requirements and Skills:

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience. 
• Strong working knowledge of FRS standards and UK accounting practices. 
• Proven experience in AR/AP/GL and financial reporting. 
• Exposure to payroll processes is highly desirable. 
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero an advantage). 
• Advanced Excel skills. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Additional Info:

• This is a full-time position with hours of 9am - 5pm based in the office with the option for Hybrid working after 6 months service.
