Accounts Payable & Receivable

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Bank Payment Posting: Post vendor payments in the banking system and ensure correct allocation.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash and payment records.
• Process Payment Run: Prepare and execute scheduled payment runs in line with company policies and vendor terms.
• Process Proforma & Urgent Payments: Handle urgent payment requests and process proforma invoices promptly.
• Mailbox Management: Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable mailbox, ensuring timely responses to queries and requests.
• Invoice Processing (AIM): Process invoices accurately in AIM and maintain proper documentation.
• Parked Log: Review and clear parked invoices, resolving issues promptly.
• Vendor Accounts Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• PPV Report: Prepare and review Purchase Price Variance reports to ensure accuracy.
• Proforma Tracker: Maintain and update the proforma invoice tracker for pending payments.
• GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced): Reconcile GRNI accounts and follow up on outstanding items.
• Expense Postings: Accurately post employee expense claims in line with company policy.
• Vendor Accounts Maintenance: Set up new vendor accounts and ensure vendor account details are accurate and up to date.
• Audit Requests: Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role, preferably in a corporate finance environment.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes
• Excellent numeracy skills
• SAP experience is an advantage but not essential

• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently
• Adaptable, agile, and open to new challenges
• Ability to work cross-functionally with different teams
• Clear and effective communication with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office software.
