Join Johnson Controls and dive into the world of building management system technology! We’re talking all the complex software and hardware that controls the electrical and mechanical systems within a building. Think Thermostats but on a far more complex scale. These systems control lighting, security, fire safety, HVAC and can help reduce carbon emissions and increase operational efficiency. You’ll be working on big projects including hospitals and government buildings.
What You’ll Be Up To:
You'll deliver BMS projects for industrial, commercial, and residential markets
Consulting with clients to enhance their buildings, reduce running costs and emissions, and improve overall performance
You'll gain a solid understanding of the main areas our systems interact with, including HVAC controls, Mechanical, Electrical, and Building Services Systems
Your mentor will guide you in fundamental BMS engineering principles, teaching you innovative methods to lower energy costs, reduce emissions, and improve building efficiency
You'll create detailed project plans and for various systems, ensuring compliance with industry and legislative standards
Visit a wide variety of customer’s sites and businesses — no two days are the same! You must be a confident driver

Mix of college learning and hands-on mentoring
What You’ll Need:
✅ GCSEs in English & Maths-Grade 5 (C) or above, I.T. would also be great.
✅ Full UK Manual driving licence. We don’t accept automatic licences
✅ Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions
✅ Good Physical health, the job can be labour intensive at times
✅ Happy to travel, work away and stay over in hotels when needed
✅ Good vibes: team spirit, hardworking, communication skills, and a love for technology and Engineering
