The Blue Badge Service helps people with mobility issues or hidden disabilities access essential parking concessions by processing applications in line with Department for Transport guidance.
As a Blue Badge Assessor, you will be responsible for evaluating applications from adults and children in accordance with Department for Transport (DfT) legislation. Assessments may take place via desk-based telephone screening, in face-to-face clinics, or within applicants’ homes. You will support Issuing Officers by identifying individuals who require a formal assessment and determining their eligibility for a Blue Badge. Using established systems and procedures, you will make and communicate decisions on assessment outcomes, ensuring a fair and consistent process.
