We are recruiting for Financial Assessment Assistants to join our Financial Assessment Team, working in Adult Social Care and Health Financial Services. We are a forward thinking, evolving service and, as part of the team, you will be integral to this.

As well as dealing with calls from people using our service and internal and external stakeholders, you will be completing financial assessments, corresponding with and providing written outcomes to people and their representatives. You will maintain clear records, be proactive and take responsibility for your day to day work. You'll be a key part of our service delivery and work towards the achieving of the best outcomes for people.

Ideally you will:

    • Have active listening skills with a professional and helpful telephone manner
    • Have ability to meet deadlines
    • Be confident in processing financial data and information accurately
    • Have the ability to identify and escalate complex queries
    • Be able to use a wide range of IT systems such a Word, Outlook, Excel etc.
    • Be a positive, proactive person who possesses a “can do” attitude and be willing to provide assistance that supports the best outcomes for people using our service, their representatives and carers
    • Have a desire to be part of a supportive and collaborative team

We are looking for candidates who have the:

    • Ability to plan and organise a varied workload, on occasion working to short deadlines.
    • Ability to work under own initiative with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records of all interactions electronically.
    • Ability to provide effective customer service which will include providing clear and succinct advice, responding appropriately to customers’ needs.

We offer flexible hybrid working, you will be provided with all the equipment you need to effectively complete your role both from home and at our office. There is a requirement to attend our office in Eastbourne one day each week, on a rota basis, as a minimum, to allow you to spend time collaborating with your colleagues.

Please note, during your induction and initial training period, daily attendance at our office for the first few weeks will be required to provide you with the best support and training.
