As an Inclusion Practitioner you will assist in promoting the learning and personal development of all students, including, but not exclusively, those with special educational needs through in class support, withdrawal groups, off site activities and administrative tasks.

The Inclusion Practitioner will be required to support young people with a wide range of needs around their educational, social and emotional development. You will be required to work directly learners conducting assessment, individualised target setting, support plans, mentoring, direct delivery of interventions, monitoring and review.

Specific aspects of the Cognition & Learning (C&L) support include undertaking the delivery of programmes for student development around numeracy and literacy. This includes supporting the delivery of the Evolve curriculum to Key Stage 3 learners and support for the Entry level and Functional skills at Key Stage 4. The role will work closely with a range of students around their C&L needs with interventions taking place inside and outside the classroom with agreed targeted before school, lunch time and after school interventions. A close working relationship with the subject departments will be intrinsic to the role.

The practitioner will also support learners with Communication & Interaction (C&I) needs, through the delivery of appropriate programmes such as Language Link, Anxiety Gremlins, Zones of Regulation and other appropriate approaches.
