Mid Market Sales Executive
Department: Sales
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: United Kingdom
Compensation: £30,000 - £83,000 / year
Description
MPLC are the legal way to show movies and TV in a public or commercial space with a vision to be the global number one trusted partner to studios and producers for public performance licensing. We are on a mission to enable companies to use great content while championing content creators and their intellectual property.
We’re hiring an experienced sales executive to be a part of our mid-market outbound licensing team, selling new licences. A person in this role must be a strong communicator, motivated, resilient, coachable, and enjoy a challenge. This is for someone committed, responsible, and positive.
The job in three bullets:
-
Drive new revenue: Own the full sales cycle for prospects, from initial outreach to deal close.
-
Win high-value deals: Engage stakeholders and build compelling business cases that deliver long-term value.
-
Collaborate across the business: Partner with marketing, sales ops and enablement to ensure a seamless buyer journey and maximise conversions.
In this high-impact role, you’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing deals with larger organizations (50-750 employees). You’ll work closely with our go-to-market teams — including marketing, sales operations, and enablement — to execute a smart, targeted sales strategy and deliver results.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, with a passion selling.
What we think makes a great Mid Market Sales Executive
We expect that great candidates will be able to show experience and success in several of the following areas:
- Proven success selling to customers - ideally in B2B SaaS or licensing
- You thrive in an environment with a high volume of activities.
- You are persistent and resilient.
- Ability to move quickly and make decisions.
- A strong communicator: you're thoughtful and empathetic in the way you interact with your peers and prospective customers.
- Experience with tech tools is an advantage but not essential. (Gong, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
- You enjoy being part of a team but you are also able to work on own initiative.
- Able to highlight examples of sales experience.
- Experience achieving challenging KPI metrics that must be hit or exceeded daily.
- Able to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced changing environment.
Let's be honest!
This isn't a passive, inbound role. You'll need to prospect, pitch, build trust with clients, and close proactively. This role involves high volume outbound activity, with sometimes low results. You'll need to bounce back quickly from rejection and setbacks to achieve results.
Some of our systems and processes are still being optimized - but we hope you'll help shape them and take initiative to suggest improvements where you see them.
