We have an exciting opportunity for people to apply for casual roles as a Youth Worker at our Youth Hubs across East Sussex.
What is a Youth Worker? As Youth Workers, we nurture and support the young people we work with so they can learn to make informed choices; we teach empowerment and equality, helping the young people have a voice, build positive relationships, and reach their full potential. As a Youth Worker, you will support the Leader in Charge in the operation and running of the session, engaging young people in the community, offering support, advice, and guidance, as well as handling any safeguarding concerns as a team. Join us in supporting young people as they navigate the challenges and changes of society and themselves while transitioning from childhood to adulthood.
Successful applicants will receive a full induction and training to support all aspects of their roles with ongoing support from their manager and colleagues. Starting as a youth worker can pave the way for opportunities within keywork and social work.
We deliver sessions for young people aged 8 to 19 (up to 25 years for young people with SEN).
Sessions usually run in the afternoon and evening unless specified otherwise.
