The successful candidate will:

    • Compassionate and patient, with a good sense of fun.

    • Be intuitive and responsive to the needs of the pupils.

    • Have an interest in working with children with SEND.

    • Demonstrate the ability to provide consistent, calm and nurturing support whilst maintaining clear behavioural boundaries.

    • Experience and/or an interest in working with upper key stage 2 pupils.

    • Be able to use initiative and make professional judgements related to pupil learning to ensure pupil dysregulation, stress and anxiety are managed effectively.

    • Have bundles of enthusiasm and creativity, with a desire to nurture a love of learning in all our children.

    • Be highly organised and forward thinking.

    • Work alongside the teachers in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment.
