Job Title: Water Quality Data Administrator

Location: Falmer (Hybrid between office and home)

Contract Type: 12-month fixed-term contract (potential for extension)

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Salary: Up to £36,500

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven individual to join our Water Quality team as a Data Administrator. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of water quality sampling data, supporting regulatory compliance and protecting public health and the environment.

• Hybrid working is available (typically two days per week in the office, usually Tuesday).

What You Will Be Responsible For:

You will work closely with internal teams and external contractors, following documented workflows and resolving data-related issues. This is a highly structured role, ideal for someone who enjoys consistency, accuracy, and working with data.

• Maintain accurate water quality sampling data in line with regulatory and internal standards
• Follow documented workflows and processes to complete tasks consistently and accurately
• Use Microsoft Excel to manage, analyse, and report data effectively
• Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to resolve data discrepancies
• Support audit activities and address data-related non-conformities
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management processes

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

Essential:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, basic data analysis)
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication skills for internal and external liaison

Desirable:

• Previous experience in data administration or auditing
• Knowledge of water quality processes or regulatory compliance
