About the Role:

The Associate Manager, Campaign Marketing plays a key role in driving the success of Advanced Marketing initiatives by executing high‑impact, data‑driven campaigns across the Advanced Portfolio. This role manages integrated marketing programs, supports campaign strategy, and collaborates closely with product, subject, and functional experts to deliver measurable growth in awareness, engagement, submissions, and readership.

The Associate Manager partners with senior marketing leadership to plan and execute multi‑channel campaigns, ensure alignment with journal and program goals, and uphold the Advanced brand’s reputation for excellence, innovation, and researcher‑centric marketing.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Campaign Strategy & Execution

    • Manage full‑funnel marketing campaigns across multiple Advanced journals, subject areas, and audience segments, ensuring alignment with portfolio goals.
    • Develop and execute integrated campaign plans in partnership with senior Advanced Marketing leadership, including email, social, events, paid media, and content‑led tactics.
    • Coordinate go‑to‑market activities for new launches, expansions, and high‑priority initiatives across the Advanced Portfolio.

Messaging, Positioning & Creative Development

    • Support refinement of campaign messaging, audience targeting, and value proposition development for Advanced journals and thematic initiatives.
    • Lead creation of campaign assets, including web copy, email sequences, social content, author‑facing collateral, and internal toolkits.
    • Ensure all materials reflect Advanced brand standards and effectively differentiate the portfolio from competitor offerings.

Insights, Research & Analytics

    • Collect and interpret campaign performance data, measuring engagement, conversions, ROI, and coverage across channels.
    • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for optimization and strategic refinement.

Cross‑Functional Alignment

    • Partner with Product, Publishing, Editorial, and Researcher Marketing teams to align campaign plans with journal launches, scopes, content strategies, and editorial priorities.
    • Coordinate closely with Demand Generation, Web, Events, and Creative teams to ensure seamless execution across touchpoints.
    • Provide sales‑enablement materials and campaign-related resources for internal stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement

    • Identify opportunities to improve campaign processes, workflows, reporting frameworks, and best‑practice adoption across the Advanced Marketing team.
    • Contribute to playbooks, templates, and scalable processes for global deployment across the portfolio.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

    • Qualification Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
    • 2+ years of marketing experience, ideally within campaign or portfolio marketing.
    • Proven ability to manage multi‑channel marketing programs in a fast‑paced environment.

Skills & Competencies

    • Strong project management and cross‑functional coordination skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including crafting compelling researcher‑focused messaging.
    • Analytical mindset with experience using marketing analytics, dashboards, and performance metrics.
    • Familiarity with campaign tools, CRM or email platforms, marketing automation systems, and competitive analysis techniques.
    • Creative thinker with the ability to translate insights into engaging, brand‑consistent campaigns.
    • Experience working with global teams, agency partners, and multiple internal stakeholders.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
