Looking for a short-term role with long-term impact and could you provide expertise, advice and guidance while working in partnership with commissioners and external stakeholders? This is a rare opportunity to lead, influence and shape the development of commissioning policy and approaches in adult social care in East Sussex.

You will work closely with commissioning, procurement, operational and provider colleagues to develop and ensure a consistent strategic approach to commissioning leading on key cross-cutting areas such as quality, co-production and sustainability.

Working in partnership you’ll ensure the principles of co-production and inclusion are central to commissioning approaches and activity across our Strategy, Commissioning and Supply Management division.

You’ll be responsible for key publications such as our adult social care market position statement, strategic commissioning framework and provider bulletin. You’ll also play a significant role in our East Sussex voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) commissioning excellence programme.

We are looking for candidates who can:

    • Demonstrate understanding of good commissioning practice
    • Negotiate and influence
    • Work in partnership across and between organisations
    • Communicate clearly and effectively
